The Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito was founded in 1960, but its chronology goes far beyond its 60 years of existence. It was created to protect the vineyards, the wine and the millenary lifestyle of this wine sub-region and to bring even more renown and quality to the wine produced here.
The objective of the Adega Cooperativa do Algarve is to guarantee the genuineness and quality of the wine products entitled to the DO do Algarve and IG do Algarve, to define the respective production processes, and to promote and defend these designations.
Adega Mayor is located in Alto Alentejo, in Campo Maior, near the border between Portugal and Spain. It was in this region, with a Mediterranean ecosystem and a strong tradition in vineyards and olive groves, that Commander Rui Nabeiro's dream was born.
The wines "Ana Vieira Pinto" are the result of a family project that brought together father and daughter, Manuel Pinto and Ana Vieira Pinto, a company whose main goal is to produce wines with all the typical characteristics of Borba.
The Baga Friends are António Rocha (Alexandre de Almeida wines - Hotel Palace do Bussaco), Dirk Niepoort, Filipa Pato, François Chasans (Quinta da Vacariça), Luís Pato, Mário Sérgio Nuno (Quinta das Bágeiras) and Paulo Sousa (Sidónio de Sousa).

The first Campolargo wines resulted from 2000 crop, although the new cellar was only built in 2004. Nowadays, the business lies in the hands of the third generation with Jorge Campolargo responsible for the vineyards and Carlos Campolargo heading the cellar and sales. Joana Campolargo impersonates the collaboration of the fourth generation ensuring administrative support and external relations.
Honor, Mr. Américo Seabra’s memory, producing wines that express the region and that simultaneously develop and enhance it, it’s the Casa Américo mission.
11 years. That was the exact time it took for the conception, growth, and maturation of a wine created to receive the name Casa da Passarella and perpetuate our heritage, which spans well over a century. Because in reality it carries with it the responsibility of more than 130 years of our history. It was born from our seven own vineyards, which include several hundred-year-old plots, and which have an unusual variety of more than 20 native varieties, as was customary in the early decades of the 20th century.

The Concept
A deep understanding of the land was what made this wine project possible, which has gone beyond its commercial vein. It’s a passion, which we eagerly share with wine lovers all over the world. The pursuit of quality, the attention to detail in each stage of production, tradition allied to innovation, the value of artisan work and recourse to state-of-the-art technology are some of the factors that mark our wines, produced exclusively from our own grapes.
In 1920, an Alentejo farmer from the Aljustrel area, Ernesto dos Santos Lança, fell in love with a property at the gates of Vidigueira and there he established the cradle of a family that would never leave the land. The Lança settled in Herdade Grande.
Were Vidigueira not one of the most emblematic wine-producing regions, the wine tradition was also cultivated in this family, starting with the inheritance of the production of the millennial Talha Wine, whose son Ernesto, named Eduardo, greatly appreciated and would come every year to elaborate.
In 1946, Eduardo Lança saw the birth of his most special harvest. His son, António, arrived. And António also continued his connection to the land and the estate, to the point of graduating in agronomic engineering and following in his father's footsteps, as an agronomist, viticulturist and cooperator of the Adega Cooperativa da Vidigueira.

This Project was born from the will of three winemakers, Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal and Jorge Serôdio Borges who wanted to make a wine together.

The first historic references of Quinta da Pellada go back to the year of 1527. In that year the sum of 80 barrels of wine was paid, as a royal tax. Álvaro de Castro is a civil engineer who inherited this property in 1980, at the time he decided that to make something out of the estate, he had to give it full time attention. Rapidly the enthusiasm for the wine and viticulture made him decide to re-establish an old family tradition of winemaking, which had been broken for one generation.
Created in 2004 by the common will of different organisations, Sociedade Agrícola Garantia das Quintas is dedicated primarily to the production and commercialisation of various wine products.
In the Middle Ages, hospitals were spaces created in the spirit of helping others, designed to welcome and give “hospitality” to travelers and pilgrims, which contributed to the Quinta do Hospital becoming a “hospital/hospitable” support place to pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela.
At Quinta do Pessegueiro we strive to know the terroir of all our parcels and adapt the various viticultural practices to the unique character of each one.

It is a story about wines that transcend time, made in century-old mills in the Dão, and that carry the serene austerity of the Dão landscapes. The success of these wines, are results of love and dedication to the land, is present in the various prizes awarded to these wines. One such example is the Vinha Paz White 2012, which received the gold medal, Best Wines of the Dão, in 2013.
Vinicola Decordi was founded in 1921 as a family-run local restaurant whose menu offered typical local products. In the historic inn, Quirico Decordi Sr. vinified a few barrels of red wine, such as Fortana, Ancellotta and Lambrusco, the ideal companions for local cuisine, which were served with great success.
Our history begins in the hearth of Galicia with a small establishment dedicated to hospitality and wine sales. Since then, we have opted for hard work, for knowing the land and respecting its times, and for tying again and again until we get what we were looking for. Today, three generations later, more than 50 families every day to produce wines and liqueurs that preserve the legacy and the illusion of that Casa Penouzos that opened its doors in 1940.
Horácio Augusto Lourenço planted the first vineyards in the 1980s and laid the foundations for this dream, which is his. His son, Jorge Miguel Graça Lourenço, developed the viticulture, created the wines and structured the company as we know it today.
