As a Portuguese wine brand, producers and people passionate about winemaking, our mission is to encourage the passion for Dão’s wine throughout the world, in a differentiating, innovative way and in perfect harmony with Nature.

We want to let people known the nobility, the elegance and the character of one of the best Portuguese wine that is still hidden by magnificent mountains. It is among the Dão mountains that our terroir is found, in Quinta do Cruzeiro in Oliveira-Mangualde, where vineyards are treated with knowledge, delicacy and according to an organic and sustained agriculture.

It is also in Quinta do Cruzeiro that our Wine Cellar is set, where modern and ancestral grape treading techniques are aligned to transform the crops into fantastic wines, with a delicious acidity, floral aromas and delicate texture.

We believe that Julia Kemper Wines differs from the other Portuguese wine brands. Our main goal is to produce top Portuguese wines, using biodynamic and organic techniques, which implies extensive knowledge, constant work and learning; it implies, above all, dedication and an enormous passion. This passion has been in our Family, the Melo Family, for more than 400 years and its values have passed from generation to generation. This results in the production of a high-quality organic and vegan wine brand.

Currently, Julia Kemper wines are sold in Portugal and throughout the world, preserving the noble grapes of the region: Touriga-Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz and Jaen, for the reds, and Encruzado, Malvasia-Fina and Verdelho, for the whites, besides keeping other varieties not fully identified in small quantities.
