Located 40 km south of Bordeaux, Sauternes is the most prestigious appellation for dessert wines in Bordeaux. It produces magical and precious nectars.

These wines are made from grapes from a terroir with ideal soils and microclimate. Château Roumieu has remained in the same family since the 18th century and was, on numerous occasions during the 18th and 19th centuries, the dowry of the women of the family. Each generation has retained a love of the terroir, a respect for traditional methods of wine cultivation, and a belief in the moral duty to pass on this knowledge from generation to generation.
