Conceito "Único", is a regional wine from Douro. It is an opulent and vigorous red wine, with an open and fruity bouquet and closed tannins of the Demarcated Douro region. It is a red wine with an austere and powerful character, rich in mineral notes and macerated fruits, wrapped in balsamic notes and polished acidity.

Vineyard
Schist soils. Made from a small parcel of old vines (90 years old) from Quinta do Cabido, an inhospitable "hook" formed by the Teja stream, in the parish of Numão. In this harvest, it was possible to isolate these grapes without affecting the final blend of Conceito red.
Vinification
Grapes hand picked into small boxes. Partial destemming, followed by crushing and pumping over to stainless steel vats. Temperature controlled fermentation, gentle pumping over, final maceration of one week. Malo-lactic fermentation in vats.
Aging
22 months in new French oak barrels.
