Conceito Vintage
The Teja Valley terroir ensures grapes with excellent acidity and balance, thanks to its soils, altitude, varietal mix. Traditionally, great Tawny Ports come from here. It was therefore a great surprise when Conceito certified the first Vintage Port, from the 2005 harvest. The wine presented an impeccable structure, color and concentration, offering a full and ripe mouth, without losing the fantastic acidity that this area offers. In the classic year of 2007, the vintage managed to be even more elegant and complex. Conceito's vintages reflect the house's philosophy and its careful and rigorous oenology. Meanwhile, more than a decade has passed and the wines are evolving as great vintages, gaining in subtlety and complexity, wines of pleasure from the first moment, without compromises as to their longevity. It accompanies perfectly desserts based on chocolate, or apple, as well as dried fruits or fatty cheeses.
Vinification
Traditional Porto, with foot treading. Pre-mashing for 2 days and 4 days of fermentation. Addition of brandy in the lagar, followed by brief maceration and canning.
