Conceito LBV

Conceito's Late Bottled Vintage is made as if it were a tout court Vintage, and delivers the freshness, balance and depth of the house Port wines. The additional two years of aging before bottling make the wine accessible earlier, round out its tannins, and increase its complexity. The Conceito LBV is a pleasure wine, which can be drunk solo, or with a bold steak au poivre, or desserts with chocolate, apples, nuts, or cheeses. The same packaging as Conceito Vintage is not a coincidence. In the opinion of Conceito's winemakers, this LBV is a first-class Port, a top of the range that will evolve for many years in bottle.

Vinification

Traditional Port, with no destemming and grapes trodden for 2 days of maceration in granite presses. The additional two years of cask aging (compared to a "regular" Vintage) before bottling make the wine more approachable and give it freshness, balance and depth.
