Pale cherry red color. Wonderful sweet aromas: warm herbs, cherry fruit. So pure and elegant with a leafy touch. The palate is smooth, warm and sweetly fruity. Light and superbly elegant with lovely cherry and herbal notes and subtle tannins. Lovely wine.
Conceito Bastardo
It originates from family vineyards planted about 50 years ago. The Bastardo grape variety ripens very early, long before any other reds. It was therefore decided to vinify it in a wine press, with foot treading and indigenous yeasts. Made since the 2007 harvest, today it is only aged in stainless steel vats. From the first moment it was a wine of passions, since its color deceives the distracted eye, which is surprised by a full and spicy aroma and a round and glycerine mouth, which make this wine a pleasure at the table. It is a wine that evolves very slowly in bottle, hardly changing over the years.
Vineyard
Schist soils. Made with grapes from 40-year-old vines at Quinta Chão do Pereiro.

Hand picked and transported to the winery in 20kg boxes, then crushed by foot in granite presses, without destemming or yeast addition. As soon as the alcoholic fermentation is finished the wine is racked into stainless steel tanks.
