Winemaking
The Port Wines from Quinta de la Rosa follow the traditional style: fermented by foot treading in granite vats and aged in vats and barrels (550 liter oak casks) made of very old wood. Finest Reserve results from a combination with other Port wines in stock, in order to produce a consistent quality. This combination takes place on a regular basis, with the aim of ensuring that the stocks maintain their freshness.
Aging
Port Wines are annually stored and aged at Quinta de la Rosa. It is from these stocks that the Finest Reserve is produced, resulting from the combination of Port wines from several years whose average age is 6 to 7 years.
