The 2016 LBV has very lively and complex aromas, with a ripe, black plum, spicy and herbal finish. It has good concentration without very full-bodied and fresh tannins, providing length and depth of port. Thanks to the year and good acidity, two opposing flavors of maturity and concentration are well integrated for freshness and balance.
Winemaking
Port wines from Quinta de la Rosa follow the traditional style: fermented by foot treading in granite vats and aged in very old wooden vats. Quinta de la Rosa's LBV are matured in barrels for 4-6 years.
