This Port is made every year in the traditional way, trodden in granite vats, from grapes grown at Quinta de la Rosa. Finest Reserve is then blended from our Port Wine stocks to produce consistent quality, this blending takes place regularly to ensure the stocks are always fresh. The Port wines of each year are stored and matured in our own lodge and it is from these stocks that we blend our Finest Reserve. The average age of Port wine in our Finest Reserve blend is around 6-7 years. Unlike most port shippers, all products are stored and bottled in the Douro (in La Rosa and not in Porto), allowing full traceability and guaranteeing the quality from grape to bottle.
