Vinification

The vineyards, totaling fifteen hectares, ten located in Seia and five in Gouveia composed of old vines, are located in one of the coldest places in the region, at the foot of the Serra da Estrela. The conjunction of altitude, soils, and the grape varieties on the property convinced us that it was the right place to go. M.O.B. Alfrocheiro comes from Seia vineyards, vinified in stainless steel vats with 50% stalk, little extraction and at low temperatures. It is aged for 12 months in 500 liter used oak barrels. In our vineyards, the Alfrocheiro variety always produces delicate wines. The precision, personality and subtlety of this wine make it the most ''intellectual'' MOB.
