This red wine is made with indigenous yeasts, fermented in stainless steel tanks with 35% whole bunches, with post-fermentative maceration and aging in used French oak barrels. The wine is fresh with mineral notes, aromas of earth, pepper, and red fruit. On the palate, it's layered with fine but present tannins, notes of forest and pepper, and a dry, long finish. Best served at 16ºC, it's perfect with mushroom dishes, veal, or lamb roast. Contains sulphites.
Textura da Estrela Red is an exquisite red wine, made with Old Vines, Touriga Nacional, Jaen, and Alfrocheiro grape varieties. Carefully crafted with only indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks with 35% of whole bunches, followed by a post-fermentative maceration and 15 months in used French oak barrels and 2 months in stainless steel for natural stabilisation.
It presents a fresh, mineral and complex profile, with aromas of earth, pepper, kerosene and red fruits. On the palate, it has a layered texture with fine but present tannins and a highly gastronomic profile with hints of forest, pepper and a long, dry finish.
Textura da Estrela Red should be served at 16°C to best appreciate its delicate and balanced structure.
This refined Portuguese red wine pairs well with dishes based on mushrooms, but also roasted veal or lamb.
