Since 2013 the Maison Dehours & Fils has decided to create a vintage cuvée each year by selecting the best of the harvest in order to preserve its imprint through time. Millésime 2014 is the 2nd edition of this vintage.
The year 2014 is a year of contrast with a magnificent and very dry spring, followed by a very hot beginning of summer, before a reversal of the trend with almost autumnal months of July and August. The Pinots of this vintage present subtle aromas of acidulous white fruits and sometimes notes of red fruits. They show a beautiful structure, vivacity, and freshness in the mouth.
This 2014 vintage is composed of two-thirds of Pinot Meunier from the "Port à Binson" plot and one-third of Pinot Noir from the "Maisoncelle" and "Les Grèves" plots. These parcels located in the heart of the Marne Valley produce grapes with strong expressive potential.
This champagne is dosed Extra-Brut at less than 3 g/L and has undergone a long maturation of 66 months in the bottle, allowing it to develop all its complexity.
The 2014 vintage cuvée of the Maison Dehours et Fils offers beautifully fresh and fruity notes that can be enjoyed as an aperitif, as well as an accompaniment to an entire meal.
