A red blend made with great traditional Douro Superior varieties cultivated at more than 500 metres of altitude. The year of 2016 was characterized by harsh weather conditions. The winter and spring were quite rainy. Till the end of January there were temperatures higher than the usual. With the beginning of the spring, temperatures went down considerably, delaying the development of the vines. Yet, July and august were extremely hot months allowing good maturation of healthy grapes, aromatic and revealing a great balance.

Vinification

The technology is minimalist using granite tanks with mechanical pressing, where the temperature goes around 26ºC. After the malolactic, a part of the blend was transferred to french oak barrels, where it aged for eight months.
