Jam of yellow fruits like quinces, pears, apples, and other dried fruits like nuts and walnuts. Light earthy notes, resins, fine woods, and dried specials. Ethereal and complex.
Tasting Notes
The dried fruit notes are impressive, it is bodied and persistent. Dry with balanced acidity. Soft. Good finish, with a powerful aftertaste reminiscent of old fortified white wines.
Pairing
This is a complex and delicate orange wine. Its versatility allows it to harmonize well with fresh and wild mushrooms, as well as succulent dishes (feijoadas and cassoulets), codfish and game birds. It goes well with vegetarian dishes. Some daring connaisseurs recommend this wine for a peach pie or a tarte Tatin.
