Vista Alegre Fine White Port is a classic white wine port that has been produced in the Douro Valley of Portugal since 1808. This delicious wine has aromas of citrus and stone fruits with a hint of honey and a creamy texture. It is perfect for enjoying on its own or with a variety of desserts.
Vista Alegre Fine White Port is a unique and unexpected port experience. Crafted using the traditional method of wine making, the wine has a straw gold color and slightly developed fruity, vanilla notes. It's sweet, soft, and unctuous, with a slightly oaky finish.
Vista Alegre's winemaking process begins with a partial strip of grapes and light crushing, followed by a temperature-controlled fermentation that is stopped by adding brandy (firewater). The entire vinification process is carefully monitored by the oenology team, taking into consideration the type of grapes, their level of maturation, and the desired sweetness.
Vista Alegre's unique flavor is created by the following grape varieties: Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Gouveio, Arinto, Cerceal, and Rabigato.
For best results, Vista Alegre should be kept at a constant temperature and away from intense direct light. Once opened, it should be consumed within 4 to 6 weeks. The port should be served at a temperature between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius.
Vista Alegre pairs especially well with dry fruits and hors d'oeuvres. It also pairs nicely with tropical fruit desserts and ice cream. For a cool and refreshing long drink, try mixing Vista Alegre with ice, tonic water, and a slice of lemon.
Vista Alegre contains sulphites.
