This Portuguese Vintage Port is made from Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz grapes and aged for one year in old casks. It has a depth of colour with tertiary aromas which are integrated with the youth given by ripe black fruit. It has strong personality in the mouth with volume and freshness given by acidity. Serve between 17-18ºC with cheese like Stilton or Gorgonzola or pair with a steak au poivre. It has earned 89 points in both Wine Enthusiast Magazine and CellarTracker.

The classic Port is produced using a specific winemaking process to ensure that its character and quality are truly unique. Firstly, fermentation takes place in tanks, known as ‘Lagar’. This is then followed by maceration by foot at approximately 28-30°C. Finally, the Port is aged for one year in old casks to complete the process.
The Quinta do Portal Vintage Classic Port 2000 is made with two grape varieties: Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz. Together, these ingredients create a delicious balance of flavor and aroma that is sure to be enjoyed.
This Port has great depth of color, and its tertiary aromas are well-integrated with its freshness and lively black fruit flavors. On the palate, the Port has a strong character that is perfectly balanced with its volume and liveliness from the acidity.
When serving, the bottle should be opened two hours before and decanted. The best temperature for drinking the Port is between 17°C and 18°C. To ensure the Port remains of the highest quality, it should be stored in a cool, dry and dark place.
