This traditional Portuguese Port Wine is made with grape varieties including Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Gouveio, Arinto, Cercial, Rabigato. It has a clear, bright golden colour and a complex aroma of hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, orange, and apricot. It is full-bodied and fresh, with a well-balanced acidity.
Vista Alegre White Colheita Port 2008 is produced according to the traditional method of Port Wine. The process begins with partial destemming and gentle crushing, after which alcoholic fermentation and skin maceration take place. Fermentation is done under controlled temperatures, and is stopped by the addition of brandy. The oenology team carefully considers the grape varieties, degree of maturation and desired sweetness throughout the process.
Vista Alegre White Colheita Port 2008 is made from a blend of Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Gouveio, Arinto, Cercial and Rabigato.
This port has a clear and bright appearance with a beautiful golden colour. Its aroma is complex and nutty, with notes of hazelnuts, walnuts and toasted almonds, combined with orange and apricot aromas, as well as toasted notes from aging in old wooden tones. On the palate it is full, fresh and well balanced, with a pleasant acidity.
Vista Alegre White Colheita Port 2008 should be served chilled, between 6° and 10°C. Store the bottle upright, in a cool, dry and dark place.
This port pairs well with soft goat cheese and melon soup, and can be enjoyed as an aperitif or alongside the meal.
Vista Alegre White Colheita Port 2008 contains sulphites.
