Clear, deep ruby color visual aspect. Fresh aroma of fresh red fruit, cherry, currant, varying to aromatic herbs such as rosemary. Voluminous mouth with silky tannins that linger throughout the mouth leaving a fresh and persistent finish.
> CLIMATE: The 2011 viticultural year was characterized by a very rainy winter, followed by a warm spring, marked, however, by some rain. This allowed for a vigorous vegetative development of the vine. The months of June and July, in turn, were quite warm and dry. The same happened in the month of August, despite occasional rain, allowing, however, to finish the ripening of the grapes in full balance.
> VINIFICATION: The harvest was carried out in September. The grapes were transported in 25 kg boxes to the winery. They were kept in cold storage for 12 hours, and then destemmed, partially crushed, and carried by gravity to the fermentation tanks. The winemaking was done in wooden vats and wine presses. The wine was then aged for 12 months in French and Austrian oak vats. During the winemaking and aging process, the wine was moved smoothly, by gravity, and without the use of pumps.
