Borges Vintage is a unique wine produced in years where the grape is of extraordinary quality. It has a deep ruby colour, with a complex nose of red fruit and plums, and spices, dried herbs and cocoa. When served, it is balanced, velvety and consistent, with a complex profile that lingers in the mouth. Ideal for pairing with full cheeses and chocolate or red fruit deserts, or a strong cigar. 17.5 points in Wine Passion Magazine, 17 points in Revista de Vinhos and a Gold medal at International Wine Challenge 2007. Producing a Vintage Port is an art, an expression of the hard work of the people who tend to the vineyards. Borges Vintage Port 2004 is the result of years of exceptional grape quality, it is full-bodied, strong, distinct and intense. To make this port, the grapes have been aged in small oak vats for a maximum of two years and then bottled to complete the evolution.
Borges Vintage Port 2004 is a blend of three grape varieties, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz.
This port displays a deep ruby colour and a nose that combines red fruit, plums, spices, dried herbs and cocoa. On the palate, it is balanced, velvety and consistent, with a lingering complexity that will linger in the mouth.
For the optimal experience, it is recommended to serve Borges Vintage Port 2004 at a temperature of 16 to 18ºC. When it comes to food pairing, this vintage goes perfectly with full cheeses, chocolate and red fruit desserts. Cigars are also a good companion for this port.
