Sixty-year-old vines on a single plot have produced this tight, taut wine that is one of a series of single-vineyard wines. It has great richness to balance the acidity and fresh citrus and kiwifruit flavors that are still present in this ever young Champagne.
Founded by Claude Jacquesson in 1798 in Dizy, Jacquesson champagnes are a reference and one of the most famous houses for champagne lovers. It is a historic player in champagne, since they created and filed the patent for the muselet (frame of metal wires that holds the bottle cork) in 1844 and also participated in the creation of the Krug house, nothing only that !
The Jacquesson vineyard covers around thirty hectares located in Avize, Aÿ, Dizy and Hautvillers, as well as some handpicked grapes purchased from other houses. Their champagnes are recognized for their personality for parcel cuvées, as well as their low dosage reduced to the strict minimum.
Each year, she names her BSA (raw Champagne without year) with a number 740, 741,… this allows them to assume the style of each vintage.
