Quinta de Vale Fornos Reserve Syrah
One of the oldest and most remarkable Quintas of the Tejo wine region. This property was originally given by D. Antónia Ferreira (Ferreirinha) as a dowry for the marriage of her daughter to the 3rd Count of Azambuja. Located in the confluence of the Lisbon and Tejo wine regions, it has a magnificent terroir for the creation of superior quality wines. This wine is a monocaste from the French Syrah grape variety.
Vinification and Aging
The harvest is manual in 20kg baskets and with a careful selection of clusters. This wine was fermented in traditional granite presses. After fermentation it aged in French oak barrels for 14 months.
