This Portuguese red wine blend is aged in large vessels, with an average of 5 years. It features a deep ruby colour, almost black, with an aroma of blackberry. On the palate, the wine has soft tannins and notes of peppermint and eucalyptus, with a long finish and well-balanced acidity. It is best served at 16-18ºC, and pairs perfectly with buttery cheeses, cured cheeses, desserts of chocolate and red fruits, as well as seasoned and grilled meats.
Borges Ruby Reserve Port is a unique blend of five different grapes, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, and Tinta Roriz. This fruity and fresh port has been aged in large vessels and offers a complex tasting experience.
The Borges Ruby Reserve Port has a deep ruby colour, almost black in appearance. It has a young aroma, with blackberry being the predominant note. The first sip brings you a fresh sensation with notes of peppermint and eucalyptus. The tannins are soft, adding structure and a young flavour which is confirmed with an intense presence of blackberry and the freshness of peppermint. All in all, the port is long with a well-balanced acidity.
For optimum enjoyment, Borges Ruby Reserve Port should be served at a temperature of 16 to 18°C. This port pairs well with buttery cheeses, cured cheeses, desserts of chocolate and red fruits, and is ideal with seasoned and grilled meats.
