A Robust Portuguese Red For Any Occasion

The Falua Unoaked Reserve Red 2020 is an intense and robust wine, crafted with Touriga Nacional grapes and made in Portugal. This red wine can be enjoyed with tapas, grilled meat and well seasoned dishes. It has deep garnet colour and minerality and floral notes to violet, as well as aromas of black fruit, plums and blackberries and subtle tannins.

Winemaking

Harvested grapes are cooled to 5°C and maintained at this temperature for 48 hours before being destemmed and gently crushed. This is followed by a pre-fermentative maceration at 10°C and an alcoholic fermentation that takes place at a controlled temperature of 25°C in small stainless steel vats, with prolonged maceration.

Tasting Notes

This red wine has a deep garnet colour and releases minerality and floral notes of violet on the nose, with aromas of black fruit, plums and blackberries. On the palate, it is elegant and intense, with presence of tannins that give it a great structure and a great aging potential.

Storage and Serving Advices

The Falua Unoaked Reserve Red 2020 should be stored lying down at a temperature of 15°C and served at a temperature of 16°C to 18°C.

Food Pairing

This robust Portuguese red pairs well with tapas, grilled meat and well seasoned dishes.
