Madre de agua Alfrocheiro is a wine with aromas of red fruit notes combined with spices. The relationship between tannins, acidity and structure is great class giving it a unique balance. Aged in used 500l barrels for 12 months.

Absent from the old books of grapes, Alfrocheiro was thought to be a recent grape in our territory. Today science demonstrates that it is one of the oldest, parent to old grapes like Castelao or Moreto. Open color reminiscent of wines from cold climates, it has a very fine and elegant bouquet, with floral notes well complexed with fresh fruit. In the mouth it is deceptively light as it is intense and full of character.

Very intense and vivid color. The aroma shows great complexity, with plum and red fruit aromas. Very elegant on the palate, with great structure, firm freshness and with velvety tannins. It is subtle, with intense fruit flavors and impressive acidity.

Intense color. On the nose red fruit and black fruits, some spice and toasted notes. Complex, robust and with good volume in the mouth. Very pleasant finish.

Deep purple color. 

On the nose, it has a very young aromas of black wild berries, with some notes of black pepper, roasted coffee, damp earth and sweet tobacco. 

On the palate, a very nice, round red wine with flavors of wild berries, spices, and chocolate. Strength but appealing tannins with well-dosed acidity, and a persistent tannic finish.

Ruby color. On the nose wood, cherry and vanilla. In the mouth is very fruity and tasty.

Garnet color, notes of ripe fruit, jam, slight nuances of wild herbs, full-bodied palate, intense aroma, and a smooth finish with good persistence.

The Moscatel Galego grape variety, always very aromatic, is evident in the aroma, with notes of grapefruit and tropical fruit sensations. Citrus color, exuberant, vibrant and unctuous. Good body and long aftertaste.

Alicante Bouschet is a structured and complex wine with intense and long-lasting flavours. Its grapes are at least 40 years old, making for a unique taste. It is best served at 15ºC with pork, barbecue and grills. It contains sulphites, and has been awarded 16.5 points in Revista de Vinhos. An excellent choice for those seeking a full-bodied and complex wine.
