Adega Cooperativa De Barcelos

Founded in 1962, the Adega Cooperativa de Barcelos initially gathered 51 winegrowers, with the main goal of encouraging the production and marketing of "Vinhos Verdes" (green wines) in the Barcelos and neighboring municipalities, integrated in the sub-region of Cávado. Its founders, men who believed in the superior quality of the wines produced in the region, with an extraordinary will to achieve an important joint force in the production and marketing of the Vinhos Verdes that were increasingly produced with greater quality.
