The Quinta da Cabeça-de-Burro vineyard was founded in 1885 by the Andrade family in the Douro Valley, a region known around the world for its wine growing. The family owned and operated this vineyard, growing and handcrafting their own wine.

In 2005 the winery was acquired by Sotavinhos S.A., and remains with them to this day. Since then, the winery and the vineyard have become major producers of quality wine for all palates. They hope to keep up their tradition of supplying the world with excellent wine from the Douro.

Cabeça de Burro Red Reserve is a deep garnet colour and its bouquet holds intense berry and red-fruit aromas and hints of bay, cinnamon and sweet spices.
