The color is a brilliant golden. The nose and mouth combined harmoniously in fragrances and flavors of red fruits like wild strawberry, blueberry or red currant, while expressing spices like gray or white pepper with a remarkable lingering finish in wood notes enhanced by a touch of vanilla.
For centuries, champagne vintners have been able to find, clear, and plant the most suitable plots of land for growing vines. Long before the fizz, terroir was recognized and wine was flowing far beyond the borders of Old France.
Through the magic of the bubbles and the work of men, champagne wines gained lightness, in finesse, to finally show their spirit, the spirit of men. In modern times, with the development of technology, elements of change, and the compression of time, men can run the risk of forgetting this.
Respect for the terroir: the vineyard. We must not forget that terroir is not immutable, that our common Champagne heritage is a fragile one, and that our wines to evoke the dream need to be made from beautiful, great grapes. In this context, we try, without philanthropy, to make Champagnes where the terroir transpires, encouraging variation in pleasures, and where the bubbles are stirred and stirred as we bathe in Wine.
We work every day to abandon certain practices, certain reflections of sometimes careless viticulture. Respect for the soil translates into a desire to favor the life that reigns here by banning all root herbicides, by banning all fertilizers that can distort the natural minerality... and thus the expression of the terroir.
