Warre's Heritage Ruby Port is a blend of vibrant wines from different vintages, produced from Warre's finest estate properties in Portugal's Douro Valley. It has an aroma of luscious red fruits and robust, rich fruity flavours with an alluring, youthful vigour. This wine was aged for an average of three years in seasoned oak barrels and was then blended, filtered and bottled, ready to drink.
Warre's Heritage Ruby Port is made from old vines, providing a unique and mature flavour.
Warre's Heritage Ruby Port is a medium red colour with smoky, high-toned aromas of cassis, marzipan and maple syrup. The taste is smooth, fat and super ripe, with a generous texture and ample balancing acidity. It is a fresh ruby port but not at all aggressive.
For optimal taste, Warre's Heritage Ruby Port should be served at a temperature of 15ºC to 16ºC.
This port pairs wonderfully with cheese, rich chocolate desserts and dark chocolate.
