100% Syrah. Fermented in stainless steel vats and aged 18 months in French Allier oak barrels. Bottled in December 2020.

Quinta das Bandeiras

Quinta das Bandeiras is located across the river from the famous Vale do Meão, in the heart of the Douro Superior. It is crossed by the abandoned railway line that connected Pocinho to Barca-de-Alva, hence the name Passagem dos Vinhos da Quinta. The 100-hectare property was acquired in 2005 by the Berqvist family – owners of Quinta de La Rosa, in partnership with winemaker Jorge Moreira. The aim of the Passagem brand is to realize the potential of the Douro Superior in expressive wines that combine fruit and refined aromas with great freshness and sobriety. Most of the vines on this property were replanted in 2005 and are becoming increasingly unique. So, the potential of this property is great, as well as its quality, already well proven when Passagem Grande Reserva Red 2009 received the award for best Portuguese wine in Essência do Vinho in 2017.
