Oppaco is the first-ever red wine made by Soalheiro, marking a new chapter in our history. The goal was to take an innovative approach to the region’s red wines. We named this wine Oppaco, meaning ‘opaque’, to mark Soalheiro’s venture into the world of red wine. Oppaco has a bright ruby color and aromas of fresh red fruit with hints of spice.    

It is a wine with a beautiful violet color without being opaque, it has an intense and complex aroma, full of character and delicacy. In the mouth, it has a strong presence, but is very fresh and smooth. A seductive Dão of velvety texture and great depth that will grow immensely in the bottle in the coming years.
