A typical Alentejo variety, Trincadeira preta (syn. Tinta Amarela) with a thin and fragile skin, causes it to rot if it rains and to become raisin at high temperatures. This “Trincadeira” was picked at the point possible, focusing on its fresh fruit side. A breeze of Alentejo freshness that was lost, but that was always here after all. Trincadeira... is not so Black after all!

Production follows a protocol of sustainable agriculture and yield is controlled and quality improved by hard pruning, removal of secondary shoots, and bunch thinning. At optimum maturity the grapes are handpicked in small boxes permitting the quality-control steps of bunch selection in the vineyard and on the sorting table. Grapes develop and mature in the hot and dry Mediterranean climate...

Lots of fruit in the front, clean and with beautiful depth, light oak, everything denoting great care and poise. Very tannic in the mouth, young and energetic profile, chocolate, dry finish, with a very gastronomic profile.
