Quinta dos Poços is located in the World Heritage area of the Douro Demarcated Region, in the Baixo Corgo area, in the village of Valdigem, Municipality of Lamego. It is one of the oldest in the region, with the main house being a typical rural manor house from the 18th century. It was here that French troops of Brigadier General Loison, the "one-armed man", stationed during Napoleon's first invasion in 1808.
